Sika Primer-209 N is a solvent-based black primer which reacts with moisture and forms a thin layer. This layer acts as a link between substrates and adhesives.
\nSika Primer-209 N is specifically formulated to treat bond faces before applying Sika\u2019s 1-component Polyurethanes. This primer might provide excellent adhesion on certain plastic substrates without the previous activation step.<\/p>\n

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR Sika Primer 209 N<\/h3>\n

Sika Primer-209 N is a moisture-reactive system. In order to maintain product quality, it is important to reseal the container with the inner plastic liner immediately after use. Once the surface pre-treatment operation is completed, the cap has to be screwed on.
\nDispose of the product of approximately one month after opening if used frequently or after two months in case of infrequent use. 30 ml cans are for a single application only.
\nIf gelling, separation or a significant increase in viscosity is noted, discard the primer immediately.
\nNever dilute or mix this product with any other substances.
\nIf used on transparent or translucent substrates such as plastics, etc., an adequate UV protection is mandatory.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

APPLICATION METHOD FOR Sika Primer 209 N<\/h3>\n

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust and contaminants.
\nAdhesion on substrates may be improved by adding and\/or combining pre-treatment processes such as scuffing, cleaning and activating.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Application<\/h3>\n

Shake the Sika Primer-209 N can very thoroughly until mixing ball rattles freely. Continue shaking for another minute and apply a thin but covering coat with a brush, felt or foam applicator.
\nIdeal application and surface temperature are between 15 \u00b0C and 25 \u00b0C.
\nSika\u00ae Primer-209 N has to be applied once only. Care must be taken to ensure that this single application adequately provides dense coverage. Consumption and method of application depend on the specific nature of the substrates.
