Sika\u00ae Primer-206 G+P is a black primer that is based on solvents and reacts with moisture to create a thin layer, which functions as a connection between adhesives and substrates. It is designed particularly for use on bond faces before applying Sika’s 1-component polyurethanes.<\/p>\n

IMPORTANT NOTE<\/h3>\n

If Sika\u00ae Primer-206 G+P is used below 5 \u00b0C further testing under worst case conditions are mandatory.
\nSika\u00ae Primer-206 G+P is a moisture reactive system. In order to maintain product quality it is important to reseal the container with the inner plastic liner immediately after use. Once the surface pre-treatment operation is completed, the cap has to be screwed on.
\nDispose the product of approx. one month after opening if used frequently or after two months in case of infrequent use. For 100 ml pack sizes dispose it two weeks after opening. 30 ml cans are for single application only.
\nIf gelling, separation or a significant increase in viscosity is noted, discard the primer immediately.
\nNever dilute or mix this product with any other substances.<\/p>\n

If used on transparent or translucent substrates such as float glass, plastics, etc., an adequate UV protection is mandatory.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

METHOD OF APPLICATION<\/h3>\n

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust and contaminants.
\nAdhesion on substrates may be improved by adding and\/or combining pre-treatment processes such as scuffing and cleaning.
\nPre-treat the bond face of the substrates with Sika\u00ae Aktivator-100 using the wipe-on, wipe-off method and allow flashing-off.<\/p>\n

Primer Application<\/h3>\n

Shake the Sika\u00ae Primer-206 G+P can very thoroughly until mixing ball rattles freely. Continue shaking for another minute and apply a thin but covering coat with a brush, felt or foam applicator.
\nIdeal application and surface temperature are between 15 \u00b0C and 25 \u00b0C.
\nSika\u00ae Primer-206 G+P has to be applied once only. Care must be taken to ensure that this single application gives adequately dense coverage. Consumption and method of application depend on the specific nature of the substrates.
