Description
SikaTack® Panel Fixing Tape is a type of tape made from closed-cell polyethylene that is used to initially attach facade panels while the SikaTack® Panel adhesive cures. The tape has a pressure-sensitive adhesive on both sides and is very strong in peel and shear. The tape is part of a system for fixing ventilated facades in an economical and hidden way. The SikaTack® Panel system includes SikaTack® Panel Fixing Tape, SikaTack® Panel adhesive, and related pre-treatments such as SikaTack® Panel Primer. When used together, these products allow facade panels to be attached to their substructure without being visible.

Areas of Application
SikaTack® Panel Fixing Tape is usually applied to fix the panels in place temporarily while the SikaTack® Panel adhesive cures, as well as to adjust the gap between the panels. The tape’s use enables an efficient and speedy initial attachment of the facade panels. However, it should only be handled by skilled professionals with relevant experience. To ensure adhesion and material compatibility, testing with actual substrates and conditions must be conducted.

Surface preparation
The SikaTack® Panel Fixing Tape must be applied on the pre-treated substrate, as defined for the used SikaTack® Panel adhesive.
Application
To use SikaTack® Panel Fixing Tape, align it over the entire vertical section and parallel to the edges of the railing profiles. Press the tape onto the pre-treated surface. After applying the SikaTack® Panel adhesive, remove the release liner of the tape. Precisely position the panels and press them firmly onto the SikaTack® Panel Fixing Tape until they fully adhere. The fixing tape must not be removed or reused once it has been applied, so it is important to carefully align it. If the tape is not correctly aligned, remove it and dispose of it before repeating the application process with new tape.
SikaTack® Panel Fixing Tape is compatible with all other components of the SikaTack® Panel System, but it should only be used by experienced professionals for ventilated facade applications. The Technical Department of Sika Industry should carefully review and approve the project details before use.
